Seasonal Simplicity Spring Home Tour - Simplicity in the South

Spring came early to this part of South Carolina! We are in the midst of remodeling, so I wanted to keep decorating for spring simple this year. My goal for decorating my home for spring was to use things that I already have instead of buying anything at the store other than some plants that I’ll transfer to the garden.

Having a colorful, flower-filled porch to come home to makes me smile as soon as I pull in the driveway.

For the first time ever, I have a covered front porch so I couldn’t wait to gather some furniture and decorative items from the inside of the house to the outside. The table and chairs are a combination of thrift store and roadside rescue finds.

For the foyer, I brought in some Forsyth branches from the yard and added them to a galvanized french flower bucket.

We recently gave our fireplace a major makeover with a brand new surround. I kept this vignette simple by pulling together pieces that have similar colors. There’s something about the combination of green and white that feels very fresh and appropriately “springy” to me.

For my oldest son's room, I couldn't help but add this spring quote to a letter board. He's not a fan of winter either. 😉
