I would be very cautious as to their removal. They were put there for a good reason. Your climate may be changing, and most often they were put in due to damaging runoff. Also be cautious of any underground utilities or septic they may be over.
My actual issue with the retaining wall is not necessarily the removal but it's the rebuilding and a couple of things I have to consider above that area the lancets hire so there is a constant flow of water when it rains and this is created erosion issues on the rotting out of the railroad ties because the area is so large I am trying to come up with ideas that are cost-effective and that will also come about the drainage issue
The house is been in the family for over 30 years we are aware of what is there there are lines up there so we are not trying to intrude on the underground utilities were just trying to find something that will handle the run off and erosion
