Are iron jump rings ok to use on jewelry?

Are iron jump rings good enough to use for jewelry? They say either silver or platinum, etc. color. I found double ones I like the idea of using. They are from China.

You can use the steel jump rings. They are coated specifically for jewelry use.
Are the steel ones the same as the iron ones I saw?
I would think iron might "rust" or leave a mark on the skin if it is used in jewelry
That was my worry also.
I would use steel over iron. You don't want to get marks on your skin.
