Small House Kitchen Tweak/Vintage All the Way

I am in the process of doing a bit of kitchen organizing this winter. I have three minor projects planned and they include TWEAK # 1: a corner revamp, TWEAK # 2 a bit of chalk painting, TWEAK # 3 the addition of a cupboard above my fridge. Not any of my three planned projects are big ones, but together each one will make my kitchen a bit more organized, efficient and pleasant to work in.
Project # 01: I removed a vintage music cabinet and replaced it with a shabby chic slightly distressed, tall and thin open bookcase to hold cookbooksand part of my brown crockery collection. I can now find my recipes at a glance and I am enjoying my mixing bowl, bowl with plate as lid and butter crocks ability to shine.

This sweet little vintage "Shabby Chic" bookcase now fills a narrow corner of my country kitchen and holds cookbooks and crockery.
I adore the curved apron front of this bookshelf. I'm pondering chalk painting the apron and perhaps the inside in CeCe Caldwell's Michigan Pine Green.
