I keep a bin of crayons, glue sticks, pompoms, markers, stick on jewels, craft paper, etc. in my house just in case of kids being "bored". I then help them cut out eye holes in a paper plate, glue a popsicle stick or tongue depressor at the bottom as a handle and let them make masks. They can be very creative with all the embellishments I keep on hand.
Thank you, this is a great idea!
How about this for Easter: http://www.hometalk.com/diy/decorate/easter-eggs/diy-paper-egg-28167423
DIY Paper Egg
Once a year all the grandchildren come for a visit. I have fun not only having them come but we do things that will entertain them but also teach them.
Had them assemble hiking safety bags with items to keep them safe should they get lost in the woods.
We made paper with them searching for items to incorporate in their individual paper when they spread the pulp on pcs. of screen.
Planned a treasure hunt complete with clues. We used old items from flea markets and lots of coins for the treasure. The winner decides what they will give to the others and what to keep.
We bought blank tee shirts, fabric paint, stencils, etc. Then on the backs of the shirts each child inks their hands and leaves a hand print and signature on each other's shirts.
All of these are products of imagination. So I recommend just use your imagination.
Thank you!
Macrame a metal hanger? Good so you don't get lines on your shirts and nice for sweaters. I see a lot of here.........but my mind went blank. Clothespin wreath???
Thank you!
Get a scrap roll of wallpaper and let the kids color with crayons on the back side. When done, easy storage.
