I have a floor to ceiling 2-double door pantry in my hall that is the original one provided with the home when built over 60 years ago. I would like to redesign the interior, open up the outside area above the doors to have greater access to the high shelves, and
modernize the doors also. Any suggestions would be most appreciated!!

What does your current pantry look like? Do you have shelves? Cubbies? Can you post a picture?

I suggest using sliding shelves so that you can maximize your use of the space and use the far-back - like this:

    DEAR HILLELA,

THANKS SO MUCH! THAT IS CERTAINLY A GREAT IDEA FOR SEVERAL SHELVES! MY CLOSET IS THREE TIMES LARGER SO PART OF PANTRY COULD CERTAINLY USE THESE PULL OUTS . I'LL ALSO NEED DRAWERS, REGULAR OPEN SHELVES, AND DIVIDER SECTIONS FOR STANDING UP MY

    BAKING TRAYS.

THANKS FOR TAKING THE TIME TO OFFER A LOVELY SUGGESTION!!

CONSIDER "DUTCH DOOR-ING" FOR GREATER EFFECT AND CONVENIENCE.

Just post it with your question. See the little square icon below the text box on the left? Click it to attach the pic to this and lots of people will help you.

Thanks! Wish I knew how to forward a photograph from my iPhone to your site - using home talk.com did not work as a viable address acceptable by my server.
