Realistic (I Think) Eggs for Spring and Easter

I found these fake white eggs at Wal Mart in an egg carton for 1.98 per doz. They were in the Easter section. I had just purchased this two tiered tray from Hobby Lobby for 50% off and was at a loss as to how to display it. Other than the 1.98 for the eggs I did not spend a cent. I used what I could gather. First I speckled the eggs with brown craft paint and an old toothbrush. A few days later I decided to color them, just barely. They came with dye but I just added food coloring to water.
The little clay pots I had found at a junk store 5/1.00 and wasn't sure what to do with them, thought they were sweet. I painted them, stuffed half with raffia to make nests and added an egg. The other pots I filled with wine corks my daughter had given me.
I gathered fake squash from fall Hobby Lobby's 80% off, a rolling pin that I painted the handles on, a moss ball I had made earlier and anything else I thought I could use.
I am pretty pleased with this display, now what can I do when summer arrives....
I became a gatherer and came up with items to use as fillers. In this house nothing is safe, especially from paint.
Painted faux eggs.
I love these sweet little pots. I bought them thinking they would make a great rain chain. Then I got out the left over paint.......
