    Beautiful job done on this obviously well used corner cabinet. Love the cottage look you gave to it. I am sure that if this piece of furniture came from your mom or better yet your grandma, they are proud or would be proud of what you did to it. Keep on restoring

    I have the same corner hutch as you, often thought about painting it but was to afraid I would mess it up....yours turn out beautiful, maybe one day I will get up the courage and do it.

    You did a great job on refinishing the flat vertical surfaces on the major area of the hutch. And yet, the faux dry brush antiquing you did on the vertical and flat surfaces inside the cave of the hutch simply makes the inside look dirty and confused. I think you would be better served to go back and paint the desk and walls of the cave either the solid light color you used for the vertical portions on the outside of the hutch, or the darker accent color you used on the drawers and horizontal trim. The key to success in decorating is to keep things simple, limit the use of techniques, coordinate similar color combinations and forgo the urge to incorporate too many textures of surface materials. Look to creating harmony with in a grouping or particular space.
