Four years ago I almost lost my lawn to Creeping Charlie. Had only small patches of grass left. Tried everything available and nothing worked. Then finally I found a product that worked. Spectracide Weed and Feed. Within days Charlie was withering away. And slowly my lawn came back. Now I just spot spray when ever I see Charlie.
I've heard of people sprinkling Borax on their creeping charlie to kill it. It will temporarily yellow the grass around but should not kill it. Best of luck!
I agree with using Borax- it works but you need to be persistent as you may miss some the first time. It also best to apply the Borax on a warm day- at least over 75 degrees.

this year, kill off the whole yard with Round up - several applications - then reseed to grass NEXT year
