Its lovely!!! I love the idea! And I love the placement on the tree trunk, it looks fab!
Pat yourself on the back! Great job! Looks great!
Wow! Love the colors and how it brightens up the tree trunk! Well done!
I did one of these myself. Looked like a lady bug. The ball cracked wide open out in the weather.
I'm sure eventually this one probably will too. I will enjoy it as long as I can. I will display it in a different way if it does.
Just back from my holiday am going to start re vamping my old bowling balls will post on here soon
I wish I had an old bowling ball! GREAT JOB and IDEA!!!
What a fun idea-very unique and creative!
They are better than fragile gazing balls which can blow away and get broken.
You can also use those very large Xmas ornaments.I pick them up at big lots,and/or the dollar stores.

I spray painted my husband's old bowling ball (it was the super hard rubber one he used in his league in the 60's!! ) with faux concrete spray paint! It has been out in the garden for about 5-6 yrs. now -- looks like a stone orb -- and is just now starting to look a little the worse for wear! I plan to scrub off the finish and re-do it for this summer!! MY old ball (a purple one that looks like marble) is some kind of solid hard plastic -- I tuck it into a flower bed with purple and lilac colored flowers and it looks darling!! They can be covered with bits of mirror and they look cool, also!! Happy crafting! Sandy
Awesome! What a great job! Display it proudly. ☺
Awesome!
What a great idea! I've tried to donate some old bowling balls but no one wants them. Now I can use them in my garden this year.
I put my old bowling ball out to the curb. Now, probably someone else has a pretty garden ornament in THEIR garden!. Shoot.
GREAT JOB !!! I have been making gazing balls from old bowling balls for about 10 years now. Love the tree trunk idea for a stand.
Creative! What kind of adhesive did you use? I do my bowling balls using 6mm plastic gems of any color, they look like glass gems and it takes forever to finish, defenitly not something you can finish in a weekend
Well done just completed one like yours
