I had this red gum ball machine in my storage building and decided to pull it out and use it for something. What am I filling it with? BUTTONS - All white of course!
There are so many ideas. You can add a peg board and hang a lot of your accessories. You can add storage containers on the sides of your table. A picture of your existing area would be so much more helpful. Good luck.....
I use clear shoe boxes from the dollar stores. I label each and then stack. Keeps everything neat and at easy reach. For tiny items use mini storage containers or zip lock bags and then put them in the shoe boxes.
Putting everything for a project into the same container can help by making it easy to grab a container (box, bag, or bin) and work on something without having to search for the crochet hook, the other knitting needle, or the instructions. I have used purses, grocery bags, shoe boxes, and bankers boxes (for larger projects). Of course, if I actually finished something more that once every five years...
I use a over the door shoe rack, I have thread, beads all kind of things, It is clear so you can see everything. I got it at WalMart.
Not knowing your wall space above your table if it's clear add shelves and as judy suggested use clear containers. Stackable, you can get a lot on them. Have fun.
Oh and there's the tall clear bins they sell at walmart that are stackable.
Boxes! Boxes can easily stack up on each other, be hidden under a bed, etc.
Good luck!
Get plastic drawers. They come in many sizes and are stackable. Larger ones can go under the table. I avoid cardboard because I read they attract spiders. I also have quite a tall and large compartmentalized box with a handle that's full of beads, charms, gems, notions, etc. You can get the plastic drawers and reasonably priced plastic shelving units from Walmart. Tin cans hold paint brushes, colored pencils. Clear plastic containers with lids allow you to see what's in them. Over the- the-door shoebags are perfect for all kinds of odds and ends, including those clear containers.
