A pyrethrin based insecticide should effectively kill your Japanese beetles.

The use of any chemical product is never a good idea. The future of our food production is being killed off bit with every use of chemicals. Our honeybee population is being poisoned agricultural chemicals as well as by those once a month flea treatments. Try to think of another way to work with Mother Nature intead of antagonizing her! Did you know that birds love to eat the japanese beetles? Hang a trap over your hen pen or duck pen. Don't have any? Why not? If you absolutely can't our way to hen ownership then you could drop the trapped beetles off at your nearest flock. If you don't have a flock then you're going to want to hang the traps at the far corners of your property as far away from the victimized plants as possible. Those traps attract jp as well as trapping them.

  • Excellent suggestions! If you are unsure about anything, call an arborist asap. I lost a couple trees to pests and compromised the trees too much that I had to cut them down. A very sad day for me. Don't want to have that happen to you.
