Roundup!
You may have a bigger problem than roundup can fix. Many invasive bamboos are deeply and tightly rooted. I once dug, axed, then ended up using a backhoe to remove it. You may need to put a barrier in the ground to stop the flow. Cut down, dig and see how tight and deep the roots system is. Good luck.
Roundup will not ne strong enough for the deep roots of bamboo.
Its a difficult one they grow under the ground and will not see them early enough to sever them, you would need to dig quiet a way around them to get rid of them.
Have you tried salt? I know bamboo is pretty difficult. But, as cheap as salt is, I think I would try it. I have used it in the past to kill out a couple of 10 ft trees.
I put about a half a container of it on the base of each tree. You most likely won't be able to grow anything in that area, but I'm betting that will be okay. Good luck!
