Christmas Cactus

Cheryl on Jan 02, 2014I would keep it in a pot, use a bit of cactus soil and a size larger pot. If she wants it to look like it's in the ground just sink it in a hole the size of the pot and cover it up. I never had good luck putting them in full sun in FlaHelpful Reply

Carole on Jan 02, 2014We had one in the garden of a rental that I lived in a few years back. It was there when we moved in. It was under a shady spot and it flowered very well. Might depend on the soil - sandy soil should probably suit it very well as it would have good drainage.Helpful Reply

Cynthia E on Jan 02, 2014If she wan'ts to try in ground tell her to root several pieces put in the ground and wait a yr see if they make it. Then even if she does plant outside to keep some inside in a pot so if any drastic weather happens she doesn't completely lose plant.Helpful Reply
