How can I keep rascally rabbits from eating my hostas and sedum?
It isn't feasible to fence them.
you can try brushing your hair and put it around where you don't want the
rabbits. Also - dog hair will do the same.
That I can try. My neighbor has a big hairy dog that sheds a lot. Maybe I can ask her to throw some over the fence next time she brushes her dog. Thanks for the idea.
I have the same problem! I read somewhere that shredded Irish Spring bar soap works. I'm going to try it this year. The hair thing didn't work for me.
I feel the same way.
The hair will work, you just need a lot. Find your local dog groomer and inquire if you can have the clipped hair. Spread it around. It decomposes so no worry about the clean up. You can also try using gallon jugs with water and moth balls.. Just cut v shapes around the top of jug so more of the smell can get out. Refill as needed.
Great ideas, both of them. I'll try the gallon jug trick first. If that fails, on to the dog groomers.
