How can I redo my damaged window sills?
The window sills in my kitchen, dining room and bedroom have been badly damaged from our lab jumping on them to look outside. They are approx 4" in depth and made out of pine. Being a soft wood his nails have deeply scratched them so sanding down is not possible. Our windows are large and not very far up from the floor. We live in a country setting so there is lots for him to be curious about. Keeping him off may not be realistic.

We bought solid surface counter top material and had it cut to size to sit in windowsill You may even be able to purchase bits leftover from other installations. You could glue it down if you wish. Lots of colors available. I'd send a photo but we are no longer in that house. Good luck.
Hi Dody, I have used ceramic tiles on our windowsills. I just place them on the sills. You may want to glue yours, because they'll get misplaced or dropped on the floor, from your lab. They look really cute with potted plants on them (that the dog won't get sick eating them).
