The water from our basement pipe is leaking- what can we do??
We have a Picture pipe in basement going from big basement sink into floor. The pipe was already mounded up with concrete or something so you cant see where the pipe meets floor. The water leaks from under the concrete. It only leaks when the washer empties into the sink . Concrete mound meets the pipe about 5 in off floor and it circles around creating a diameter of about 8-9 in . Leak comes from under the edges of diameter. AAAARGH! What to do?

In my leaky experience I would call our faithful plumber. Two possibilities for the cause occur to me, firstly a damaged pipe where you see the leak and secondly a blockage downstream. Can you check any manholes beyond.
I definitely would deal with it ASAP because laundry water smells bad.
