I'll wrap a piece of packing tape around the hangers in my closet that are not in use to prevent them from moving around and getting all tangled up.
Alternatively you can find a cardboard box that will fit them. cut a vertical hole on one side for the hanger heads to stick out and you can easily stack them in there. Good luck!
Do no remember where I bought these, but I love them. I have two. One for my closet and one for the laundry room. I am sure if you look on line under hanger storage, you should be able to find them.

I neatly put some together, and then put a rubber band on them, and when a friend has a garage sale, she can use my extra hangers. Best wishes.
I found a store that was going out of business and bought a ton of wooden hangers. They don't get nearly as tangled as the wire ones
