I've always trimmed them back in the spring (Ohio). They always used to bloom, but now they have the leaves, but not blooms. Any help is appreciated.

Hydrangeas should not be pruned until the new growth appears so you can establish which is the dead wood. chances are to much was cut back therefore the are no blooms.

You say until " new growth"..which is the spring...which is when I always did it and they bloomed. But maybe I cut back to far. No trimming this year!
