I love love love my LG front loader...
I would research consumer reports for feedback from consumers world wide.
Definitely not a front load...in my opinion.
I just purchased an Amama dryer from Home Depot, and the salesperson informed me that most "name" brands are manufactured by Whirlpool. I have a Maytag that has lasted me umpteen years and hope it continues to do so. My Whirlpool dryer, which I just replaced lasted me 28 years. My worst washer was a Kenmore; it lasted less than five years. The first washer I owned was a secondhand Westinghouse, and it was a front loader. Lasted me quite a while. I think buying appliances nowadays is a "crap shoot." There are good ones, and there are bad ones. Good luck.
thank you
thanks
Matag I have had two sets washer and dryer in the 49 years I have lived in my home. I also hack a dishwasher that has served me well with 4 boys and a lot of entertaining. When I replace any of these items it will be with Matag.
thanks
I just got rid of a 2 yer old Whirlpool Cabrio set & went right back to my LG front load set that I have at other home. Cabrio set did Not get my clothes clean !
Speed Queen is the professionals choice. A bit pricier than big box models, but you'll not replace a SpeedQueen
thanks,
I hate the new He washers. They use such a little bit of water, that the detergent often does not completely rinse out. Especially bad with dark clothes. I have a GE, but others with other brands are having the same trouble with them. What good does it do to have a washer that takes a huge load of clothes, if you can't put many in or they won't rinse properly. I put just a touch of detergent, too.
You have to be using detergent and fabric softener that is HE compatible. If you don't, you can get loads that aren't rinsing out the detergent and fabric softener. Because the new appliances use less water, they need a low sudsing product. If you are using the right product, perhaps you are using too much. And I would take a top loader any day. The front loaders lose their seal if not taken care of properly and they leak. But if I had to choose, it would either be a Maytag or a Speed Queen. But remember, appliances are not built to last. If you can get 10 years out of them then you're doing great. The manufacturers want them to fail. Otherwise, you wouldn't buy new ones! Which ever brand you buy, take care of it, don't beat it up and follow the manual and most importantly don't let every body and their brother use it. My new appliances, NO ONE can use them except ME! This way they get treated right all the time. I would much rather do every ones laundry than have them beating up my appliances.
