What do you use to eliminate odor?

I use a gallon jug of Vinegar with a tablespoon of Lemon essence oil to eliminate odor in the horse stalls... (pee spot) cuts the ammonia immediately daily after cleaning stall ... can use in cat litter box also...smells lemony fresh... I spray all around my stall walls and bedding lightly to make my barn smell fresh... I would be careful using it on anything you would fear could be damaged by the lemon oil...if using as a cleaner... Shake it well before each use.

Would love to hear what other people use - other natural solutions?

I've never thought of vinegar as something to use against odor - I will definitely be trying this! Do you think it could work with lavendar essential oil?

I've used vinegar as a natural odor neutralizer around the house. I didn't know it was strong enough to take on animal odors as well!

If you are talking about smells on clothing. Like child messes. 1\2 cup yellow ammonia in with laundry soap and washer machine. Great for getting rid of sour or bad smells. Stand back as ammonia has a strong smell too. It is a neutralizer. T.w.

I've worked in many barns and at the racetrack and we always used lime to eliminate urine ammonia odors. It's a natural product made from ground limestone. The wet spots have to be cleaned out thoroughly, then the lime powder is sprinkled on (it also helps absorb any remaining moisture), then you simply cover it over with whatever bedding you use. Works great !
