Hang it horizontally and either put candles on the ledge of the panels or pictures!
Turn it into a huge picture frame. Attach the pics to the back of the door, then hang the door behind the daybed similar to a headboard. It will give your guests something to look at and brighten up the space.
If you want something subtle, you can corn starch fabric squares or window film on each pane, or mix some with photos and/or favorite quotes, etc. Or even put a large print poster behind it.
You could also paint it black, and use frosted window film to make it look like a shoji screen. You could add it to a trimmed down head and foot board to look like the sides of the daybed. or instead use 2 windows with similar size panes added to the door to make the daybed.
