Where are the weeds? Lawn, garden ,between cracks of sidewalk or patio?
I have these weeds too. They are in between the pavers on my lanai and driveway.
i have used round up but it doesn't have a long term effect.
Round Up has an extended formula plan that works pretty well. You will always have weed seeds settling in driveway and sidewalk cracks - there's no permanent way to stop them. They blow in from neighbor's yards and are airborne all the time.
You just have to keep after them. On the first of every month, I go around and spray the weeds and do the best I can with keeping them out of my flower beds and other areas. I've found that using landscape fabric in the beds along with using Preen helps alot with keeping weeds out of flower beds.
Try vinegar. It's good on driveway cracks and brick patios.
The home talker has not stated where the weeds are , so therefore the question can not be answered correctly.
if the weeds are between pavers or sidewalk, boiling water poured directly on the weeds will take care of that. It really depends on the weed itself and where they are growing. Most weeds need to have the entire root removed. Before using any poison like Round Up, read the instructions and think twice. It's just my humble opinion but natural methods are better. My yard is very small and my neighbor has a gorgeous koi pond so I am cautious about what I use, I would never want to hurt his pond.
I have used a mixture of Dawn, salt and vinegar with good results. But the best results I have had is pouring boiling water on the weeds. It takes awhile to fill and heat and pour large pots of water, but my yard is small so it wasn't a big deal for me.
Dawn 1/4 cup white vinegar one gallon one pound of Epsom salt mix together then put In a spray bottle and watch the weeds die
Use organic or horticultural vinegar with at least 20% acidity but only on the weed, not anything you want to keep.

PLEASE don't use Roundup!! PLEASE try natural methods first! Roundup kills milkweed and milkweed is the only plant that Monarch butterflies lay their eggs on. Monarchs are dying off because of this!! I implore you for the sake of the earth! Thanks for reading.
