What plant are the aphids on?
Plant garlic and onions around it.
A few drops of dish soap ( dawn ) in a spray bottle of water and spray on aphids. You can order Lady Bugs on line, they love aphids, but I've had better luck with soapy water.
Love the lady bug idea! You can use Neem oil as well as a natural herbicide.
I lost my good ladybugs to those awful orange ones, they don't keep aphids under control for me. I started using Surround, it's kaolin clay that prevents the bugs from getting to the plant's tissues. It does not harm beneficial bugs and bees. It looks ugly, but that is of no consequence to me when I am trying to grow food. Ornamental plants may be a different story.
If they're inside plants, DE.
Teaspoon of dish soap (I like organic) plus 2 teaspoons of baking soda to a quart of water. Spray on infected plant.
Aphids are stupid...a blast of water from a hose will dislodge them and then they can't find their wayback. The squirt of soaps is an additional help. Neem works well but it is like a cannonball.. unnecessary for aphids..if honeybees come in contact while it's wet it will kill them too 😟 Save it's use for tougher pests.
