You need to add gypsum,lime,and a ultra light top soil.
It might take a little but of time (about a year) to really improve your clay soil, but if you add coarse materials (like perlite, fine gravel, course sand and woodchips) along with a large amount of compost, that should significantly improve the quality of your clay soil.
