Cleaning marble bathroom countertops

When we remodeled our bathroom we purchased a sink cabinet that had what looked like a marble top. Over the years the counter top has become stained by liquid soap dispensers dripping on it and I can't get the white film to come off. What can I do?

Whenever I have a cleaning problem with natural stone this is my go to guide. http://www.marble-institute.com/stoneprofessionals/commercial_care_clean.pdf Since I can't see the stains use this guide. I have a cleaning business and I use these guidelines when I encounter a problem, hope this helps.
