Hidden Kitchen Storage Solutions

If there’s one thing that makes cooking and baking more enjoyable, it’s knowing that everything has a place and that you’ll have easy access to everything you need. I want to show you all the creative hidden kitchen storage solutions I came up with and how they make my life so much easier.

I love having counters that are clear of clunky – and usually kind of ugly – appliances! They might make our lives easier, but they don’t do much for the beautification of a space! In order to get them out of the way, I had this great lifting door installed. There was already this open space under the cabinets that worked perfectly, so we added an extra cabinet below the existing cabinet and had this lift up mechanism installed.

Having a garbage can out in the open can get pretty gross, and the ones that fit underneath sinks are always a little too small to be practical. By having this slide out cabinet that reveals our trash can and recycling bin it hides the mess (and the dreaded smell!). I purchased the trash can pull out which came with the drawer slide and top-mount wood. The door front we already had so all the kit pieces was attached to this door front. I’ve had a pullout garbage cabinet for many years. I cannot go back.

Pots and Pans are another big part of a kitchen that can get messy and complicated pretty fast. It is extremely frustrating when you can’t access all of your pots and cookware at once, especially if you need that dutch oven you always keep in the back where you can’t reach!These pull out drawers and superb for that very reason! Being able to pull them out means no reaching back for a certain pan or having to rearrange everything a million times. I love that I always know that I’ll be able to use whatever I need without having to search or move everything to find it. You can buy the slide a shelf here.

Ms. Dazzle: Where did you purchase the cabinet door lifting mechanism in the top photo? There doesn't appear to be a link for it.

Ok I see where to purchase the mixer lifter thing, my question is , does it stay there or do you move it to the counter top? Guess what I am asking is , is the lift strong enough to hold the mixer,the bowl, mad what ever you need to mix??? Thanks

These are all great ideas but I wish I'd seen them before I designed my kitchen remodel. Also, most of this will only work if you don't have a face frame on the cabinets.

I have just a small garbage can, no chance for smell to build up because you have to empty it very quickly. Recycling is always rinsed and is in a big basket like yours but in a coat closet. I too have a small kitchen and drool over your mixer lifter. I hate crawling around, trying to get it out. And I wish I could hide my toasters. Yes, 2. When I buy a four slice, one side always dies before the other, even with rotating use. Now I have two but they never match. I was going to get rid of my bread machine because we ate too much bread, now doctor wants us to try gluten free. At $6 a loaf, I'll try making my own. Good recipes on pinterest. I solved my kettle storage. The three I use all the time are stacked on the back burner. Took the idea from my elderly neighbor. Makes a lot of sense. Love your space, I can always dream.

Brilliant idea. My lower cabinets are not built where I can use pullout. I long for that feature makes things better for accessing your pots and pans. And makes storing neater too.
