I made one out of copper pipe and hung bird houses and grew vines on it. Wisteria or climbing hydrangea grow fast.
Pallet fences can look very nice
If it's not a privacy fence you desire, you can get metal stakes and live stock wire. That will keep people and pets in; or out.
