Spilled Drano on beige carpet.Now have bleached spot..any suggestions?

    It's tricky since bleach removes color. Sounds like you might need a carpet dye pen.

  • My husband did the same thing and we had a scrap of carpet left. Cut the damage out in a square and put carpet tape around the opening and put the new piece in. Just remember tha carpet does have a pile so put it in the same direction. If you run your hand over coming to you is it light or darker. Whichever that is the way you put the piece in. Good luck!

    If you don't have an extra piece of carpet you might get some from the back of a closet and then use the bleached one to fill the closet section. As said before be sure to check the nap or pile. I've successfully repaired on of my carpets this way.
