Home Depot has these sleek looking subway tile peel and stick backsplashes. Easy insert and not too heavy on the pocket ;-)

I used peel and stick tiles for my kitchen back splash. They are holding up really well. I bought them on line from Home depot. I added caulk between the tiles to make it look like I grouted. Time consuming was worth it.
Budget friendly laminate flooring at Habitat, a borrowed nail gun, small saw, and a pot of black coffee and You Go Girl! I've used flooring on walls with no problems. All easy clean up and looks great. Easy to remove at a later date if you so chose to. Have fun, be creative and enjoy. Best of luck.
