Can you post a photo? What is the main color of your home? What color is your roof? What color do you like? Do you want to make a statement or blend in? It is just paint, if it turns out you do not care for the color you choose, you can always paint over. Mine is a teal / green color and faces west and is looking tired, I am thinking something blue for mine to make it pop.
I would recommend submitting a photo.
Paint it red and put something like a water feature or plant next to it. Gold door knob and knocker (if you have one) Use a welcome mat that complements the color.
One sure fire way to make an interesting front door is to paint it something unexpected. Pink, maybe even purple. Maybe a pastel? Or how about you craft a wreath with some house hold items? Maybe with fake flowers? I'm even thinking maybe a watercolor or marble front door if that's possible
