Did you have any unexpected cold snap like the rest of the world?
Most irises do fine in zone 4 You may have planted them too deep. Call the nursery, where you bought them-- see if they can help
I planted a few iris 4 years ago and none of them bloomed the first year. One hasn't bloomed at all. Maybe this year, right?
