This has been posted in other places for porcelain/glazed products. Try some 220 grit waterproof (typically found at an auto parts store, hardware or a variety pack from the Wall...) The paper/grit is dark gray. Cut a strip that you can handle in your hand. You may want to wear some rubber/cleaning glove. Get the paper wet for a few minutes then scour the stains. This worked on my porcelain convenience products.

Have you tried using a pumice stone?

Toilet stain can be removed with coke cola. Let soak, scrub away stains. Tubs, wet surface cover with kool aid make paste let dry wipe away.

I have the same problem & I use this stuff called "The Works" & it works great! (pardon the pun!) You can find it in the same isle with the other cleaners. It's very cheap & effective! You can also find at the Dollar Tree.

nope re-glazing doesn't help. the hard water will still lime up the shower. the most economical way to keep hard water stains from accumulating is to take your towel and manually dry the tub/shower after use.

Julie Brennan beat me to it. She is right on the money. The Works is an awesome product that really works! And you can buy it at Dollar Tree. A mere $1.00 packs a lot of cleaning power. Just make sure to wear rubber gloves and ventilate.

You can also use "Iron Out". Some of the stores in Ohio have it in liquid spray bottles. If you can't find it, use the powder version to get the same results. WARNING::LOTS OF VENTILATION NEEDED. THE FUMES ARE NASTY BUT THE RESULTS ARE GREAT.

Don't use sandpaper or pumice! I used a pumice sponge and it permanently damages the non-stick nature of the porcelain glaze. I'm not looking at a way to polish it smooth again. I'm going to take the suggestion and by The Works.

Get a pumice stone - bought a pack of three at Amazon - miracle solution! Tried everything on an old toilet at work using well water. It took about 3 minutes to remove

    all the old stains!

If you keep the pumice stone wet ant the toilet bowl wet the pumice stone won't scratch.

  • I use CLR. http://clrbrands.com/CLRbasic.htm. works great for me and supposedly environmentally friendly.

plain vinegar......just pour it in and let it sit.........gets rid of most hardwater stains. if the stain is above the level of the water, just add more water, and use brush to apply the solution to the stained area

I am in agreement with the vinegar. I use vinager to clean a thousand things in the home, it freshens and is naturally a disenfectant. I prefer to use truly environmentally friendly remedies when possible. I would add a hefty sprinkle of baking soda as well. Good luck.
