Antique Vanity & Dresser

This vanity was a curbside find that I transformed into a gorgeous set fit for a queen, or little princess! I painted her in Duck Egg Blue & added mercury glass knobs from Hobby Lobby. I was inspired by the latest royal princess, Elsa from Frozen.
Art Deco Vanity- rescued curbside find
Here she is all dolled up in my booth at The Depot in Concord, NC. Get out of that boring bathroom routine. Glam yourself up just like all the Old Hollywood stars, Marilyn Monroe, Great Garbo, Rita Hayworth...
Before & after transformation! The dresser needed the most repair, but all the vanity needed a new wheel. I found this set on the curb, but the owner said it was from the 30's & checks out with the waterfall/art deco style from that time period. It was handpainted by the previous owners & there was too much damage to strip & start over. So I painted this set with Annie Sloan's Duck Egg Blue chalk paint, with white showing thru on lightly distressed areas.
I set her up with a lace back drop in the shop to make her stand out! She loves being in the spotlight! Check out my full tutorial on my blog at http://tinroofjunktion.blogspot.com/
