You might want to ask someone at Home Depot to help you find a type of gritty surface paint, or finish to affix to the slippery spots. They probably have other ideas online too.
There are some two-part acrylic or resin adhesives, probably available at a marine/boating supply place that will add texture.Some of them will allow the addition of clean, dry sand that will give your surface some extra grit. Maybe even a concrete sealer would allow some sand to be mixed in, then spread out and left to dry.. Other cement treatments would allow sand to be sprinkled on top before the sealant dries, but it's hard to get the sand visually even that way. Good Luck!
