Frame galleries and collage frames seem to be in every decorating magazine and home store. I thought I'd try to make my own for a fraction of the cost. It started with a trip to Goodwill to find wood frames that I could arrange into a collage. I removed the glass and backing from each frame and gave everything a good cleaning. The wood frames were sanded and painted with a fresh coat of black paint before being glued and nailed into a secured collage grouping. I spray glued pieces of burlap on the backing of four of the frames. Then painted the letters LOVE on them. I left two frames empty so that I could add pictures. I reassembled the glass and backing into each frame. Then added sawtooth hangers on the back and my frame collage was complete. I had the burlap and paint on hand already and created the stencils with my printer and an exacto knife, so this project cost me right at $4 for the frames!
