What should I use to weather proof them? Paint or vinyl materials???
I collected several from a local home store trash (with permission!) ... would like to use them for a special project - OUTSIDE. Hollow core, interior doors. I have a plan... and a surprise use... just need them to "weather the weather". Thanx

This may work. Seal them with a oil based varnish or marine varnish. Prime with an exterior primer then paint with an exterior paint.

Interior Hollow Core doors do NOT do well outside. The moisture will lift and wrap the veneer. The hollow core is made up of cardboard honeycomb for strength. If you use them outside, you may get 2 to 5 years out of them depending on your weather. If you have snow, forget about doing it.
