I'd think most anything but my personal preference would be a creamy white/beige color and then choose one accent color, maybe teal or green.
My vote would be red or burgundy.
Look at the trees outside. Any colors you see in the summer fall will match anything and everything. Wood is a neutral color. "You can't miss".
Base your decision on what other colors are in your room,furnishings,accessories and lighting.
I think a wine or burgendy would look great!
I love the natural look of wood. White is classic and never wrong. Pops of your favorite color in a painting or throw pillows will brighten up the place, and also changeable with the seasons or with a change of heart. :) Best of luck.
