I've always heard you put in whirly gigs - don't know official names, but something in the ground that when the wind blows, it turns. Old wives tale that has worked for me.
Go to the hardware store and buy a mole trap, they are not very expensive and the work great. We tried every DIY method to no avail , this was the only thing that worked.
Mole Crickets are bugs. This is a home made remedy that I found :
Fill a small container with nine parts water to one part molasses and cover the top with canola oil. Sink the container into the soil so that the rim of the container rests at soil level. Mole crickets that approach to investigate under the cover of darkness fall into the mixture and drown
