I use Bon ami works perfect every time.Use the liquid one and a microfiber cloth.
I use baking soda and vinager and the basin really shines!
Clean with Barsol and coat with food acceptable polish to keep stains and oders from sticking.
Using Comet will assure that you will etch the surfaces of your porcelain, enamel, and stainless steel. Eventually you'll have to replace those big-money items. Or you can get yourself some Bon Ami. Over time it will polish out the scratches you've caused in the stainless steel and other surfaces (not so much for porcelain or enamel, but no more damage at least). It's better for the environment, too.
Bar keepers's friend cleanser.
A friend of mine had a stainless sink that always looked new. She kept a cloth with baby oil on it in a soap dish near the sink. Once she used the sink she gave it a quick swipe with the baby oil cloth, and walked away from a beautiful looking stainless sink.
i have never "got" the appeal of a stainless steel sink. I have cleaned many of them. in homes, at factories, camp kitchens. cameo, bar keepers friend and clean with the grain/ grooves of the metal. i'm not huge on stainless steel polish- it can leave waxy spots once the water hits it.
