Looking for ways to re-use child safety seats once they outgrow them

We donated ours, it's amazing how many people don't have them but should!

if the seat meets currant safety codes, i would post it to Craigs list and let it be used for it's intended use. if it's an older model that doesn't meet code- a child sized scare crow for the "s. crow" family.

if they can still sit in them, line against the wall as a seat for the children to sit in. just take all the straps off. (due to a strangulation hazard. ) almost like a video chair.

I would donate it.

Car seats now come with expiration dates, as others said, if they meet current safety standards donate them, otherwise let someone's child use for their dolls.
