What are you looking to plant? What zone are you in?
Google your zone. You should be able to plant hardy annuals , sch as snapdragons, and hardy vegetables, such as chard and broccoli and such. In my zone (8), I can plant anything at this point, even tomatoes and tender annuals such as impatiens. Don't trust big box stores, they put out plants too early. Find a local nursery or ask a neighbor.
Annuals get planted after you areas last expected frost date. Perennials can be planted as along as the ground is workable.
