  • Give them away, donate or sell. I am on "Nextdoor" a local email network for my neighborhood. A free, safe place to advertise items for sale, swap or free. Investigate to see if your neighborhood has something similar. Frankly I miss the local bulletin boards that used to be in the local markets for situations like this.

You could put mini lights in them and hang them around porch or in a tree, if they have clear sides, like mine.

Donate them to a local nursing home or assisted living facilities. These folks enjoy watching the birds and depending on their physical abilities enjoy keeping the feeders clean and filled.

The hospice my dad was at had feeders and volunteers to fill them. There were more squirrels than birds, but that just made it more like home in the few winter weeks he was there. I have also seen them outside nursing home windows if there is flower bed, not just grass. Grass cutters don't want to move them and there isn't usually anywhere to hang them from.

Hi Susan: Put them on Trashnothing.com. They are all over the place and people would love to come and get them.
