scout yard sales and thrift shops for something you could transform with paint.
Check Craigs list for furniture for sale .It usually if offered at a reasonable price.
Or get one of those floating shelves to function as a console. I would scout up some little mirrors or picture frames from the dollar tree, and arrange them to make a statement. Ikea and Lowes have the shelf hardware. https://www.google.com/search?q=floating+shelf+as+console+table&client=opera&tbm=isch&imgil=GSiuQcCmChp81M%253A%253BGQrxZYGiWwkzxM%253Bhttps%25253A%25252F%25252Fwww.pinterest.com%25252Fpin%25252F109564203406315626%25252F&source=iu&pf=m&fir=GSiuQcCmChp81M%253A%252CGQrxZYGiWwkzxM%252C_&usg=__u4VMGOXIKTCoy842GVKFeFRq1TU%3D&biw=759&bih=366&ved=0ahUKEwjCkqvGxqTTAhUG22MKHf5fDOEQyjcIqQE&ei=dxHxWIL7Moa2jwP-v7GIDg#imgrc=GSiuQcCmChp81M:
You can use anything as a table if you cover it in a nice piece of cloth....or even a stenciled drop cloth. A garage sale mirror or picture above it, with the frame painted to match the fabric.
How about some plants, they don't have to be real. You could buy a planter pot you might like, or paint a bucket to match your décor, stick some fake ferns in there, place some smaller fake plants on each side of it, and that's it.
Salvation army, goodwill, Habitat, dollar tree and moving sales are ideal for furniture and pictures. The fabric stores carry large pictures on cloth that people use to make quilts. A piece of large flat Styrofoam, cut out angels or squares and stuff different pieces of scrap material in the slits to make a wall hanging quilt. No sewing, fun.
