I install florescent lights in my closets. Navy and black aren't a mystery anymore and I can see to clean much better. Home Depot or Lowes sell these at many prices - just check to see what size you need and then consider how fancy you want your light,

My closest is not wired for lighting so i installed a battery operated light bulb and used rechargeable batteries. It looks like a light bulb and it's quite bright. Works great!

I went on line and found a battery operated light-bulb that puts out a lot of light. Works really well in my deep pantry.
  • First I want to know why builders do not install lighting in homes period. My semi walk in closet has no lighting. Getting up at 4 a.m. and leaving the house befor daylight you need a light in the closet, period. Luckily my closet is organized. I had an outlet just outside the closet so I putchased a small lamp that throws a ton of light and placed on one of the shelves. Cord is hidden by a custom height tall dresser. Works great, but still wish there were proper fixtures in the closets. My mom's house, built in 1926 is far better appointed than my house built in 1986.
