I don't think there is a way to get around replanting
I decided to use the amount of light as a guide for selecting my plants. Hostas a perennials and love shade. There are so many different ones to choose from. I have black eyed Susan's in the sunny side. They both come up in the spring about the same time and they both like water. If you cut the spent blooms on the black eyed Susan's they will bloom all summer.
