I recycled mine from my hallway to my basement and spray painted the rim from brass to black. Definitely looks much better!
And pray tell what is a "boob" light? do you use it to light up your boobs?
Boob lights are the round glass globes with a "nipple" at the bottom that you unscrew to change bulbs. I would replace them, recycle them by painting or just slowing replace when you find what you really like. Don't rush it, I am in the process now and believe me you don't want to go to all the trouble of replacing if you don't get the right ones!
