Add glass stones of color and solar lights. they will be beautiful night lights or path lights.
Glue glass bowls upside down on the tops of your vases, and "plant" your mushrooms outside.
The make excellent little terrariums for succulents. You can use them for storage containers, place by your stove and fill with wooden spoons and other cooking utensils. Try filling with glass marbles and place a tealight or votive candle in the marbles,
If you have far too many, don't toss them. Either paint them or decorate them like a bunch of Hometalkers have posted here and even if you need to buy flowers or greens, use them as gifts for others. When my next door neighbors mom passed, I grabbed an old vase, tied a bunch of pretty ribbons and bows on it and cut a bunch of greens from my yard, popped over to the grocery store, picked up some flowers, plopped them in and took over to her. She was so grateful. I have used them as gifts like this till I only had as many as I could possibly use myself. If you have flowers or roses, cut them and place in your home. You deserve to have beautiful things too. ☺
You could see if your local florist would buy some.
You can use them to hold artist brushes,
put them on a windowsill to catch the light, to hold homemade gifts, put colored glass or stones in them or for pens and pencils (if they're small).
Add texture to them and paint them. You can then use them to store craft supplies, fresh-cut flowers, pens and pencils, kitchen utensils...here's a video showing you how it's done: http://www.hometalk.com/diy/decorate/rooms/old-world-style-fall-kitchen-canisters-22294471 (video is at the bottom of the page.)
