Bring in a pop up canopy and decorate it. You could always set it up over a buffet table or sign in table. Add streamers/bows to the tablecloths. Weighted balloons on the floor. Bring in a kids' two-sided easel or chalkboard and decorate that. Do a "red carpet" entry into the event. Good luck!
Use 3M removable hooks - they do not mark the walls & are easy to remove. Can be reused with new adhesive attachments.
Lots of colorful balloons.....
Buckets of sand, 1X2 firing strips stuck in the buckets. String strung from one stick to another. Hang from the string.
If the decorations are light weight i.e. Balloons, streamers etc, use art gum. Easy to use and easy to remove without any damage to walls.
The above sound good. You could also bring in a wooden ladder and use it, leaned against a wall, to hang decorative lanterns or ivies or whatever suits your theme.
Birch poles in buckets of sand or decorative marbles. google it.
Besides the obvious helium-filled balloons, go out in the country and look for any fallen (good sized) branches that were damaged in the winter. Insert them (right down) into buckets of sand then string mini lights throughout the branches. It can look really lovely and elegant as evening approaches.
Well that stinks but I get why. Well you could get tall cheap clear vases and put tall twigs and add fairy lights to each one and place on each table. The vases don't even have to match as long as you keep them tall. If you go with bucket ideas then don't forget to cover sand with Spanish moss and add some fake greenery as well. Cover buckets either with paint in silver or gold, or rope it depends what your celebrating. Even some fabric just cover them. Have fun!
Use blue painters TAPE...won't pull paint off wall
3m command hooks are easily applied and removed
Go to Staples (office supply store) if you have one nearby or check online at Staples.com and get a package or two of their putty for hanging signs for easy removal. A small dot of this special putty is easily removed and leaves no tell-tale signs or damage to the walls, so you can hang crepe paper or pictures, etc. with no problem.
