Good flowers to pot in Georgia

I live in North Georgia and I need to know what kind of potted flowers will live in real hot temps in direct sunlight.

Geraniums! I live in No. Ga also and I love the beautiful red colors that pop from April to frost. They seem to love the heat and sunlight and if you pop off the dead blooms, they bloom even more! After frost, I cut them back and put them in my garage until next year. I try to keep them a little watered, but even with letting them dry out, they come back year after year.
